Fragments: watercolor miniatures, intimate works of art in the palm of your hand!
The artist works with her own watercolor pieces that, during the creative process, lost their original intention. From an unfinished work, she cuts out the part she wishes to keep—sized like a bookmark. “Fragments” are the saved pieces of artworks otherwise destroyed by the artist. Within them remain elements of a body, a flower, glass, the sea—those remnants of a narrative the artist chose to preserve.
The viewer is invited to take on the role of a researcher, for what lies before them is not a complete painting, but an echo, a visual riddle. Each person can assemble their own composition.
The project is dedicated to the act of artistic preservation—how, in the process of destruction, a new art object emerges. It reflects on the idea of a second chance, on how an error can contain more poetry than perfection.
